How to play
- Each round a river of 8 illustrated cards lies face up for everyone to see.
- Everyone narrates at once: each player gets a different secret word or phrase (like “Nostalgia” or “Monday morning”) and secretly picks the river card that tells it best. Two players may pick the same card.
- Then the chosen cards are shown with a list of words, plus a few extra ones to throw you off. Tap a card, then the word you think it was telling.
- Score 2 points for every card you match and 2 points for every player who matches yours. If two players read each other right, both get 1 extra point.
- In big groups each player matches up to 6 cards. A match lasts 3 to 5 rounds depending on the group size, and the highest score wins.
Storyteller is an imaginative party game for 3 to 12 players: everyone gets a secret word, picks a card at the same time from a river of 84 original illustrations, then guesses which word each friend was telling. Play from your phone with no downloads and no sign-up.
