How to play

  1. Everyone sails a paper boat in their own color around the lagoon. On a phone, the left side of the screen paddles: the boat turns toward your thumb and glides with momentum.
  2. The right side throws water balloons: drag to aim (the further you drag, the longer the throw) and release to throw; a quick tap throws straight ahead. On PC: WASD or arrows to paddle, the mouse marks where the balloon will land and clicking throws.
  3. Balloons fly in an arc over the lily pads and splash in a circle. Rocks, mangroves and bridges stop them when they fly low. Everyone can see where each balloon will land, so dodge!
  4. Every splash puts water in your boat: three and you sink. Stay dry for a while and you bail some out. Currents push you around, and you can hide under the bridges.
  5. Scoring: +1 per splash, +2 for sinking someone and +3 for the last boat afloat. A match is 3 rounds, and near the end of each one a whirlpool opens and drags everyone toward its center.

Paper Boats is a water-balloon battle on a lagoon you play with friends from your phones: folded paper boats, currents, bridges, lily pads and a whirlpool that swallows anyone who isn’t paying attention. Up to 16 players, free and nothing to download.
